I built an AI that makes the ads.

What’s winning in roofing: the native ads advertisers keep paying for A winning style in tax relief, broken down: why people click and the headlines those ads run Finished ads ConvertBetterAds made across bath, solar, insurance, hearing, kitchen and home markets

ConvertBetterAds is my own product. I designed, built and launched it end to end, from the prompts and image pipeline to pricing, and it’s live with paid plans.

Piper, version by version.

64%

shared a phone number with Piper, the AI questionnaire built for hear.com, by version five. Up from 45%.

6

tested versions, each measured end to end. The data showed where people stalled, so version six gave them more ways forward: a call, email, booking or a quote. Read the Piper story

15+ AI products, built and shipped.

Chatbots, a phone agent, analysis engines, creative tools and my own company. Most started because a team needed something that didn’t exist yet.

Some of the rest live behind company logins. Ask me and I’ll walk you through them.

AI gets it 80% there.

The rest still takes judgment.

  1. Context. AI can do a lot with data. It still needs someone who understands the customer and the business to ask it the right questions.
  2. A clear goal. Everything here started with a real problem a team had. AI made it faster to build, but knowing what it should do came first.
  3. Taste. AI gives you lots of options quickly. Choosing the right one and refining it until it feels right is still design work.

The creative side.

Nathan Allen

I’m Nathan. I make the thing.

I’m happiest with my hands in the work, whether that’s Figma, a prompt or a code editor. I’ve hired and led a design team, and I liked it most designing right alongside them.

I like to build a quick version of an idea and let the results decide where it goes next. On the side I’ve always built my own things, from PaceSetR, a text-message news service for ultramarathon fans, to ConvertBetterAds.
